Why

Blood on the shore

Tells a story

Snowy white peaks

Share their glory

Time drawing closer

Can’t be sorry

So many people

Sick and crying

God and religion

Slowly dying

Your brother and sister

Cheating and lying

Tell me why, Tell me why

Does the world stay this way

Take a good look around

We die more every day

Peace and love

Always downed

Mouths open wide

Don’t make a sound

Someone is lost

And no one is found

A baby is born

Now someone dies

Promises and smiles

Turn into lies

Everyone talks

But nobody tries

Tell me why, Tell me why

Does the world stay this way

Take a good look around

We die more every day

Something To Believe

I feel like everything is slipping away

And we’re both drawing the line.

I’m standing in the shadow of a cloudy day

Hoping the sun will break through in time.

Baby all we seem to do is politely exist

With nothing really to say.

Could this just be me or is there something I missed

Maybe somewhere along the way?

I’m not pointing fingers

and I’m not laying blame,

But there’s a sad feeling that lingers

And it just won’t seem to change.

Give me something to believe.

Just anything at all.

Let’s get back to loving.

Before goodbye says it all

I’m keeping that promise to be yours.

Not alone, but lonely just the same.

I feel we’re beginning the start of the end

My heart overcast with a soulful pain.

Where were you when I needed affection?

Some faraway place in your mind?

Our love took a turn in the wrong direction,

How could we have been so blind?

Once we were happy as one.

In your arms, I breathed your name.

Every day with you was the sun

Can we ever be that close again?

Give me something to believe.

Just anything at all.

Let’s get back to loving.

Before goodbye says it all.

Give me something to believe

Just anything at all.

Baby, it’s easy, just love me,

Or was it ever really there at all.

Traces Of Tears

 Traces of tears

Left in my eyes,

Thinking of you

Has made me cry.

Memories of smiles

Left on my lips,

Tasting of sunshine,

With every kiss.

I don’t know why

I can’t see you again,

Ohoo whoa or why

I’m not with you my friend.

You set me free

And I don’t know why.

Minds reaching out,

Seeing so much.

Hand touching hand

Feeling so warm,

And meaning so much,

With every touch.

Traces of tears

Left in my eyes,

For filling my mind

Are memories of this.

I don’t know why

I can’t see you again,

Ohoo whoa or why

I’m not with you my friend.

Tears in my eyes,

I can’t remember why.

Tears in my eyes,

I can’t remember why.

Said Goodbye

You could have stayed.

You just said goodbye.

Didn’t you know,

I’d always wonder why,

And wanna try,

To make you come by,

Have you with me,

Till we both die?

You could of stayed.

You just said goodbye.

No One I Know

No one I know stands where I stood,

No one but me can be what I could,

No one in love can see what I saw,

No one I know had such a great fall.

Whoa, whoa today, today you’re still away.

And living my life, with all my pride,

No one will see I’m hurting inside,

Or how much I’ve lost, or how much I’ve cried.

No one else has his love for me,

No one can be what he was to me,

No one will know how I feel for him,

For, no one I know can bring him back again.

Whoa, Whoa today, today you’re still away.

Easy On My Mind

When I hear the wind

Brushing’ through the trees,

Or the waves moving

Slowly out to sea…

These times I can always dream,

And something’s restin’

Easy on my mind

Just the sweet whisper

Of a song in rhyme,

And time stands still.

Time enough for love.

Thinking of you

Brings the sunshine,

Makes me wanna smile,

Makes me high.

These times I can always dream,

And something’s restin’

Easy on my mind.

Life Is A Challenge

Life is a challenge,

And if we had a scorecard,

We would get bonus points,

For getting through something hard.

I know that with trouble,

Good times will follow,

So try to get through it,

Not sink and wallow.

World times are tough,

These days it seems,

So many hurdles,

When following our dreams.

Life is worth living,

I would have no other one,

When happy things surround me,

I live to laugh and have fun.

So life is a mix,

Of pleasure and learning,

And we are all needed,

To keep this world turning
